# Tokenomics

By now, you should know that DegenPrime is all about degeneracy. The tokenomics of $DgP is no exception. 

During the early phases of DegenPrime, the [Degenerates](https://degenprime.gitbook.io/degenprime/protocol/double-ds/degenerates) are battling it out for Degen Points. You can see the number of points you are getting your [Degen Overview](https://degenprime.gitbook.io/degenprime/degen-account/the-degen-account#degen-overview). But are you winning? Check the [Leaderboard](https://degenprime.gitbook.io/degenprime/degen-account/the-degen-account/stats#leaderboard). You're not winning? Crank your degeneracy up and start earning some points, only then will you be able to earn some $DgP.

Still not winning? Move over, kid, you might be better off as a [Diamond Hand](https://degenprime.gitbook.io/degenprime/diamond-hands). They too earn Degen Points.

### $DgP

One more time: the more degenerate you are, the more points you earn, the more $DgP you can receive. $DgP is DegenPrime's utility token. It can be used to boost your LP rewards. 

You heard that right, boosting your already leveraged LP rewards. 5000% yield sounds good (hint, 5x leverage on 1000% APR), but increasing that to 7500% sounds better. 

Some detectives may wonder where that extra 50% yield comes from. The answer: other DegenPrime users who are nót staking $DgP. So, when we told you that you don't have to share your profits with anyone. Well... that's not completely true for your yield - íf you don't stake any $DgP. If you dó stake $DgP, you get your well-earned rewards.
