Solvency checks, like [liquidations](https://degenprime.gitbook.io/degenprime/security/liquidations), prevent [Degen Accounts](https://degenprime.gitbook.io/degenprime/degen-account/the-degen-account) from becoming insolvent. True [Degenerates](https://degenprime.gitbook.io/degenprime/protocol/double-ds/degenerates) are boom or bust, and any adverse market event can get Degens liquidated. 

Where liquidation bots are on duty 24/7 and come in for the rescue, the Solvency Check protects the Degenerate from themselves. 

Whenever a Degenerate wants to perform a transaction that would push their Degen Account into insolvency, the Solvency Check verifies it - and reverts it when needed. This can occur with any transaction that would lead to the Degen Account getting liquidated.
