New and illiquid assets can be volatile, but protocols can be just as tricky. The whitelisting of protocols, and their [Liquidity Pools](/degenprime/degen-account/the-degen-account/liquidity-pools.md), ensures that our [Degenerates](/degenprime/protocol/double-ds/degenerates.md) don't put their own and borrowed funds into a protocol with security risks. More importantly, this also goes for Liquidity Pools of which the creator has malicious intent. Both the asset whitelisting and protocol gatekeeping keeps the funds of Diamond Hands ánd Degenerates safe.
